The entrance fee
includes all accommodation at JO'G, the Lake District and Land's End.

It must be understood that John O'Groats is by no means a five star tourist
destination! There are small, family-run B&B's and guest houses, and one
hotel: The Seaview, which is also the registration point. Teams will gather
at the Seaview on Saturday to register, meet the other teams and enjoy
a buffet and a drink or two - we're advising that people don't overdo
the bar for obvious reasons!
We should be able to accommodate everyone at the Seaview and Caberfeidh,
which is directly across the road.

THE HYDRO
The Hydro Hotel is sheer unadulterated luxury. Originally built as a water
cure hotel in the late C19th, it is a splendid and luxurious hotel with
over 80 rooms, all with private facilities & TV.
Like the Seaview, the Hydro has got behind the event and has reserved
every room for the teams.
Ken and his team have supported us since the very first run back in 2004,
and they lay on an absolutely fantastic buffet - more of a banquet (pictured
above) - and if any teams should arrive after the buffet has been finished,
there is still plenty of food available. Certainly no teams will show
up and find the place in darkness, no matter what time it is. The
Yellow Sub Mariners from Hays arrived very late on the 2004 event, expecting
a couple of cheese sandwiches and a post-it note. Let's just say that
the opposite was the case - as well as a bar full of people who stayed
up to welcome them!
Nobody gets left behind!

Like John O'Groats, we've reserved all the rooms at the excellent Land's
End Hotel. After two very long days, the Land's End do us proud with a
terrific roast dinner and the bar stays open as long as we're drinking!
Breakfast for everybody is in the restaurant overlooking the lighthouse,
and we have special permission for teamsters to have photographs taken
with their vehicles at the world-famous sign. On previous runs, the weather
has been pretty good to us for the morning after - even if some of our
heads haven't been!

The finish line is
on the Land's End complex, with ample car parking and what we hope you
will agree is quite a welcome as you cross the line. After days of bacon
butties and 'food on the go', there's a proper sit-down roast dinner which
goes down extremely well! The atmosphere and shared sense of achievement
is fantastic and no matter how tired people were, they were bouyed up
and re-charged until the wee small hours.
